'Tis the Season

Whew! I have finally wrapped up all of my holiday sessions and am now finally getting the chance to sit down and blog some of the wonderful families that I have had the pleasure of seeing this year. I have had a great time meeting new clients and seeing old ones. One of my favorite things about this time of year is getting to see how kiddos have grown since seeing them last.

I will continue to post specific families, but for now I want to give you a taste of the fun I've had in the last few months.

A Merry Christmas to all of you that have trusted me with your precious memories. Thank you for helping me grow a business that I love. May you have a happy and healthy New Year.

WINNER....and a very heartfelt thank you.

I want to thank everyone who participated in our Christmas in July contest. I received the most beautiful stories of friends and families. It was so difficult to pick just one and not want to give a session to every deserving family. Taking the time to send me these really means the world to me. So without further ado:

The winner of the contest for submitted story is:
Becky K.

The winner of the drawing is:
Debra S.

Ladies, I will be contacting both of you via email to give details on how to book your sessions. Becky, I will get information from you on your deserving family so I can contact them directly.

Again, thank you all so much for your participation.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY GIVEAWAY

I am just jumping out of my skin to announce this giveaway. Starting today, July 1st, and running until July 24th you will be able to enter to win one of two FREE photo sessions!

We think about giving and doing for others many times over the holidays. What if this year we took the time to plan a little early all the while helping someone else?   I would like to bless someone who would not otherwise be able to enjoy a photo session with one for FREE.  Do you know someone like that? An early Christmas present, if you will! A family, a new mama, a senior......someone who would like to capture the special times in life but life may have gotten in the way of affording it. Tell me about them, why they are special to you, and why you think they deserve this gift. You as the nominator, if chosen, will also benefit by receiving $100 off a full session. You will also have an entry placed in the drawing for the 2nd free session to be given away. It's win, win.

The 2nd free session will be given to one lucky person that helps me get the word out about this giveaway. Below are all of your opportunities to get an entry in the drawing.

Here are the details:
1. Submit your nominee to my email. Give me lots of reasons to fall in love with your deserving pick. Send pictures, make it as creative as you feel inspired to be.  (remember, discounted session for you if chosen, 1 entry in the drawing for a free session regardless)

2. Go to my Facebook page and LIKE it, if you haven't already, leave me a comment and tell me you are new. (1 entry for the free session drawing)

3. Refer a friend to my Facebook page, have them leave me a comment with your name in it and you will be entered again.

4. Share a link to this giveaway on your Facebook page, come tell me about it or tag me  and you will be entered.

5. Post this link on your blog, leave me a comment letting me know, and guess what......entered again!!

All entries must be submitted by 10pm on July 24th. Winner of deserving session will be chosen and announced on July 27th. I will also draw one lucky winner for the 2nd session that day.

Pretty Pretty Mama

There is always something intimidating about photographing a photographer. It is a double-edged sword. On one hand you know that they will show up dressed in something that is going to blow you away. You spend a lot of time talking to clients about what to wear, how to accessorize and pulling it all together. You get the benefits of having this experience. You also know that a photographer knows how to look at the camera, how to angle their chin, which position is going to be your best. These are all wonderful things.....and this pretty mama was no exception. The draw back is that you also always worry that you are going to get it right. They have a pose in mind, the light that they want and their own vision. You want to do right by them.....this photographer was no exception.

Here's the gift: Tori was all things gracious and wonderful. She was calm and fun. We had a great time scoping out the right spots together. Anytime she asks, I will do it over and over again.

Seniors!!!!

I think this precious young lady is wonderful. She is a beauty inside and out. I adore her family also. She comes from a strong support system and it shows in her confidence and radiant smile. We had a great afternoon together getting to know her better. She was up for anything I asked but added her flair. Thank you, my sweet girl, for a great session.

More Moshers (just spelled a little different)

This gorgeous mama is a teacher at my kiddos school. She is so beautiful inside and out! Her family is fun and up for whatever I threw at them. Thank you, Moshers.

Oh, those Mosers!

I have known these two girls for many, many years. When I met the oldest, she was just a little blonde curly haired 2 year old. Now she is a very bright 4th grader who loves soccer and is a fantastic artist. Little sister the spitting image of her mama. I love watching Dad hang with these girls, he is smitten. That melts my heart.
